Introduction to British Moths

Description:

Most people are familiar with the dozen or so species of common butterflies that feed in our gardens, but how many of us are aware that the average suburban garden plays host to more than four hundred species of moths? With more than two thousand five hundred species present in Britain, moths greatly out number butterflies and can be found in every habitat. Moths can be found throughout the year, can be extremely colourful, as small as a pin head and as large as a mouse.
