FoodCycle runs volunteer-powered community projects across the UK – all working to reduce food poverty and social isolation by serving tasty, nutritious meals to vulnerable people. Since we started cooking in May 2009, our incredible volunteers have served over 125,000 meals made using over 146,000kg of surplus food – the equivalent saving of 657,000kg CO2 emissions.
Our Bath group takes surplus food from local supermarkets and transforms it into a delicious and free 3 course meal for people in need in our local community - every Wednesday evening. It is our 'Wednesday Grub Club'.
Our group is looking for new volunteers and we welcome everyone to our grub club – no matter what your level of kitchen expertise!
On the night of our Wednesday Grub Club, our volunteers help with cooking, serving the meals, and welcoming guests.
We then also fundraise for our group and raise awareness of FoodCycle in our local community.
