At Comer Woods, the mix of pine, beech, ancient trees and well established meadows should allow for a variety of tasty wild mushrooms to grow throughout the Autumn months.
We will meet in the car park and the course begins there with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the forest, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms that we find.
We will stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely wild mushroom soup.
We will finish the day off with a lovely seasonal wild food lunch, based on what we have found.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talk about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
Adults £50, under 16's £25, under 12's free.
