Connecting with Nature

  • Saturday, 30 June, 2018 - 10:00 to Saturday, 30 June, 2018 - 12:00
  • Victoria Park, Hill Avenue, Bristol, BS3 4DP
  • Bedminster
  • Jo Baker
  • The session is designed for adults and children from all communities of Bristol and requires only an openness to engage in the very gentle activities offered. The activities can be done in ways that are most appropriate to you. There are many paved footpaths in the park that make the use of wheel chairs and mobility vehicles easy. If you would prefer to sit rather than stand, please bring a travel or camping mat or chair. The session will be entirely outdoors so please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and be prepared for rain as necessary. There are toilets available at the park.

“I went to the woods because I wished to …learn what it had to teach…" (Thoreau)

Would you like to open up your senses, experience nature in new ways and get a fresh perspective? Would you like to quieten your thoughts and feel more in touch with the world around you?

This session offers practical ways of experiencing nature in order to replenish your energy and potentially find a new perspective on life. We will explore the instinctive and intuitive feedback from our senses, and reflect on how nature might see us!

The session is organised by Zero West and will be led by members of the Bristol Dharma Action Network for Climate Engagement This is a national network of local groups of people who practice meditation and are exploring ways of responding to climate change by bringing inner practice together with outer action.

Meet at the entrance at the corner of St Luke's Road and Hill Avenue.

The event is free but please register with Eventbrite.
