Description:

Welcoming delegates to The Green Register’s first in-person event in many months, Optimum Energy Solutions will share with us their demonstration Air Source Heat Pump, aboard a specially fitted trailer. The working ASHP unit comes with system controller and fan coils units to allow a live and interactive demonstration. A non-working Ground Source Heat Pump will be presented alongside to generate a comparative discussion between the two types led by Clive Archer and Marc Youle-Grayling of Optimum.

Joining us to share their extensive experience of successful heat pump installation are Matt Ballam of Ballam Renewable Heating and John Felgate, Chairman at the Heat Pump Association. Matt and John will give consideration to existing conditions and services within the building, outline the pitfalls to avoid and offer guidance on making the appropriate system choices for the building.

The session will cover:

- What are heat pumps and how do they work?
- Advantages and disadvantages of different systems
- Installation guidelines
- Air Source vs. Ground Source
- Live Air Source Heat Pump demonstration
- Q&A and discussion
