The Level 1 course offers a really good basis for Forest School training as it gives an introduction to the Forest School ethos and teaches activities which you can use with groups straight away. Cost: £300

• Ascentis (formerly Apt Ed) Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Leadership, 13th – 17th February 2017 (with another 3 days to be agreed with trainees), Tintern – just 40 mins from Bristol.
Want to become an accredited and qualified Forest School Leader? This course covers everything from woodland management, site maintenance and risk assessments, to the safe use of tools, species identification and how to put the forest school ethos into practice. Trainees are also taught practical skills such as fire-lighting, campfire cooking and knife-work. The course includes 8 days of tuition and assessment, plus an onsite observation, ongoing tutorial support and will help you to develop a written portfolio of your Forest School work. Cost: £900
