Description:

How have cities such as Cambridge, Groningen and Freiburg overcome barriers and opposition and set up car-free areas? How did Waltham Forest in London become 'Mini Holland'? Can Bristol do the same? Can Clifton?

Dr Steve Melia is Senior Lecturer in Planning and Transport at the University of the West of England and author of Urban Transport Without the Hot Air. He will dispel long-standing myths about transport and discuss how we can move from a car-focused transport system to a more sustainable one that is fit for the 21st century.

Clifton Climate Action will be hosting the event at Clifton Library. Doors will open at 7 and the event itself will start at 7:30.

If you would like to attend please reserve a ticket through Eventbrite; https://www.eventbrite.com/e/free-talk-how-to-get-traffic-free-spaces-in.... This is a free event and all are welcome.
