Description:

We are keeping a close eye on all updates in relation to COVID-19. All of our physical events are available to attend online too. Any physical event that must go online for safety reasons will do so.

The renewable energy industry has expanded, and when choosing who supplies your energy you have a wealth of choice. What innovations are renewable energy suppliers doing that go beyond the norm, beyond providing energy? Join us for this business breakfast to discuss topics such as REGOs, renewable and offset gas, and investment into community projects.

The Future Economy Network is happy to welcome Good Energy, Ecotricity and Network members Thrive Renewables to speak at this event.

More information to be announced.

This event is part of The Future Economy Network's August Energy series. Each event is still a standalone event and you can attend as many or as little as you are able to.

Tom Steward, Senior Regulation & Policy Manager, Good Energy
The energy market is broken. Many energy suppliers market themselves as selling 100% renewable electricity, but in reality they don’t buy a single unit of power from a renewable generator. What’s worse is that this is perfectly legal – millions of customers are being deceived because of a loophole in the regulations. We’re calling on the regulator OFGEM to change the rules to ensure that when customers choose to support renewable power, that’s what actually happens.

Monika Palaczyk, Senior Investment Manager, Thrive Renewables
From onsite renewables to corporate PPAs, Monika will be exploring the different options for businesses to source renewable electricity.
