Open Workshop Bike Sale

Description:

Looking for a great-value, high-quality bike? Want to start cycling but not sure where to begin? Then pop into our workshop at Horfield prison this Thursday from 10am – 4pm and check out our great range of bikes ready for you to browse, try out and buy.

If you’re new to cycling or would like any advice about which type of bike to buy, our friendly mechanics will be on hand to help you find the right one for your needs – so you can even ride away on your new bike!

Prices start from just £80, and all of our professionally-checked bikes come with a full 30 day guarantee. Plus, we have a range of great locks and lights for sale from just £5.

We also need donations of more bikes to recycle, so if you have an unused, unwanted or unloved bicycle you don't need any more, we'd love to have it! Any bike, any age, any condition - just pop by and drop it off.

To find us, head into Horfield prison car park, turn hard right and follow the signs!

Five good reasons to buy a bike from us:
1. Bikes are reasonably priced, fully serviced and come with a guarantee
2. After being refurbished by prisoners, all bikes are thoroughly checked by Life Cycle’s experienced Cytech-qualified mechanic to ensure they are working well and safe
3. The project is teaching prisoners at HMP Bristol mechanical and general employment skills, providing them with something meaningful to do whilst inside
4. BikeBack reduces waste and makes good use of valuable resources
5. The project is getting people on bikes, reducing congestion and pollution in Bristol
