We are keeping a close eye on all updates in relation to COVID-19. Our events up until the end of May have been confirmed as interactive webinars/online workshops, including our valuable networking sessions and 60 second pitches. If this event goes online, you will be given an additional free ticket to another event of your choice as a thank you for your support.
Look at the world around you. Society is made up of millions of stories. You live, breathe and tell them all the time. Stories are how we connect with one another and make sense of the world. Making the shift to a future economy means transforming some of society’s biggest stories around energy use, travel, the food we eat – and all those micro stories in between. It's something we must all do. Together.
But what’s the point of a story for your brand? Why does it matter?
Well, in this noisy world it allows you to connect with people on an emotional level. It means your colleagues all tell the same story as you and that your company has a shared belief. Then, when it comes to messaging, such as making a video or creating a new website you will have a unique identity and a clear strategy for how to communicate with potential customers and attract future employees.
During this session you’ll learn what a brand story is and how to go about translating it into video and sharing it with the world.
The Future Economy Network are excited to announce we will be joined by Network members Skylark Media and Brand New Story to carry out this brand and video marketing workshop.

Rachel Savage, Founder & Story Co-Creator at Brand New Story
Brand New Story’s founder, Rachel Savage, wasn’t always a brand story creator. After working as a journalist, writer and editor for the likes of The Big issue, Orange, The Environment Agency and finally Ecotricity she quit her regular 9-5 to work for herself. Then her story took a new path.
After writing for large organisations with strong identities she struggled to capture the personality and essence of her smaller clients – one that embraced all their expertise and passion into the written word. Also, a desire to create a business with a purpose planted itself firmly in her heart and wouldn’t go away.
After some deep soul-searching she discovered that brand storytelling could enable her to do both. And she’s gone from trying to work out what this enigma they called a brand story is to actually creating one and a Brand New Story process that’s now a complete strategic story-led narrative for any business.
