We’re looking forward to coming back to Linton, a lovely little village in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. With a village green, riverside and a meadow we hope to find a range of tasty wild edibles throughout spring and summer.
We’ll be meeting at The Fountaine Inn, a welcoming country pub with interesting walks in every direction.
The course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the village and along the Linton Beck, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find.
We will stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup, elderflower champagne or fruit leathers.
Then it’s back to the Fountaine Inn for a wild food lunch based on what we have found.
After the course, we will email a list to you of everything we talked about on the day, to help you to remember what you have learnt.
There are limited spaces available so please book your tickets online.
