Windmill Hill City Farm, in the heart of south Bristol, is a charity that aims to improve the health, wellbeing and confidence of people in the local community. We offer educational, recreational and therapeutic facilities and activities. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Farm and play a pivotal role in its success.

About the role
Your role will be to lead and manage a team of 4 Cleaner-Caretakers to clean the site and facilities to a high standard. The role includes cleaning the children’s nursery, café and public facilities, as well as supporting the delivery of the room hire service by preparing meeting rooms and the outdoor kitchen for bookings. You’ll be responsible for securing all areas of the site at the end of the day and ensuring that there are adequate supplies of well-maintained cleaning materials.
You and your team will provide exceptional customer service and ensure that an excellent caretaking/cleaning service of all areas of the Farm is provided.

Working pattern
Hours are worked on a 4-week rota, averaging 32 hours per week – the shifts are mainly Monday to Friday 1pm-9pm, with one weekend shift every other week.

Experience / Qualifications
Previous experience of managing a team of cleaners is essential.
Experience in cleaning to a high standard, preferably in a public environment.
Experience of providing a high level of customer service.
An eye for detail and a sense of pride in cleaning well.
Ability to prioritise tasks and to work efficiently with time constraints.
Ability to handle a range of physical work including carrying furniture.
A proven ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and drive to make spaces attractive for staff and customers.
