Collections Assistant

Thank you for your interest in the position of Collections Assistant at Bristol Wood Recycling Project.

There is a probationary period of a minimum of 3 months from commencement of the role. During probation the salary is £16,688.87 per annum, pro rata 4 days/week (£13,351.10). Once probation has been completed and the staff member can become a Coop Member, the salary rises to £17,660.18 per annum, pro rata 4 days/week (£14,128.14). The hours of work are 8:45am – 5:15pm. Staff are entitled to 25 accrued days paid holiday in addition to the usual public holidays. This entitlement will be pro rata'd for part-time employees.

Additional Notes:
Bristol Wood Recycling Project is a cooperatively managed, not-for-profit social enterprise. Staff are expected to become Coop Members once they have completed their probationary period. All staff collaborate in the week-to-week operational running of the project, working alongside our volunteers to achieve the operations necessary. Departments are self-organising with high degrees of autonomy, in accordance with the vision of the whole, and the processes in place to fulfill this. We all work efficiently and flexibly, sometimes between departments, demonstrating abilities to adapt to the circumstances that arise; successful candidates should expect to do the same. Individuals and departments are managed by peer review by fellow coop members. Oversight and strategy is offered by Directors of the cooperative.
