Send a Cow is a growing and dynamic international development charity providing training and ongoing support to smallholder farmers in Africa.
We give poor families and communities the skills and confidence they need to make the most of their land – enabling them to grow enough food, earn a living and go after their dreams. And because the families we work with pass on what they know, success quickly multiplies from family to family, community to community, generation to generation.
Over the last 30 years we have helped more than 2 million people develop the confidence to see what they have, use their land creatively and establish a new and sustainable economic trajectory for themselves, their families and their communities.
This African-centred approach is proving effective and attracting the attention of funders nationally and globally. That’s why we believe we can do more. To that end, we have just started developing an ambitious 10 year strategy that will run from 2020 – 2030 and significantly increase the scale and impact of our work.
To support this work, we’re looking for a highly motivated Events Executive to proactively manage every aspect of fundraising from events, supported by other team members across the fundraising department. Working alongside the Community Fundraising Executive and Partnerships team, you will support with Corporate and Major Donor events, challenge events, beneficiary and third party, and mass participation events such as marathons, runs and cycle rides.
With demonstrable experience in events fundraising within a charity, you will have excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a participative, cross-organisational way. This will be a busy role and the ability to manage a complex workload and prioritise competing demands will be essential.
