Organic community farm volunteer

Would you like to get first-hand experience of organic growing?
Our organic horticulture project is looking for volunteer helpers to join the friendly team.

The Community Farm is working to transform farming, growing organically and providing healthy food to the surrounding community. Set in the Chew Valley between Bristol and Bath we grow organic vegetables on 22 acres of land. We run a vegetable box delivery service and wholesale business.

We're looking for volunteers to come down on a regular basis to help with the farm work out in the fields.

Volunteering days are currently Monday- Saturday.
You can do a half day or whole day. Start times are 8am/10am/ 1pm .
However, we can be relatively flexible depending on your availability.

It's a very busy and exciting season on the farm! There are plenty of opportunities to learn skills in various aspects of field scale organic veg growing. You don't need to have experience as full training is given for each task, and you'll have support whenever needed from experienced growers.

Typical jobs at the moment include:
Picking our delicious veg for the box scheme/ farmers market,
Weeding , pruning , planting and helping to pack for the veg box scheme.
If you have skills or interests in a specific area, let us know!
