This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of people at Social Farms & Gardens delivering the ‘Growing Care Farming’ project which is working with care farmers, potential care farmers and commissioners from education, health and social care to i) raise the profile of care farming ii) increase supply and demand for places and iii) maintain a consistent and reliable standard of service - thus creating more opportunities for both children and adults with a defined need to benefit from care farming services. The project is part of the £10m Children and Nature Programme, being supported by Defra, funded by the Department of Education and managed by Natural England.
The Project Officer role involves working in partnership with the team to ensure the Project runs smoothly. The Project officer will work closely with the project managers and will be responsible for collating and overseeing data collection from the regional programme, preparing reports for the Project Management Group, and tracking project performance and expenditure.
The post will suit an experienced Project Officer with strong IT skills (including project management software) and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly establish relationships with key stakeholders. You will have previous experience in monitoring and evaluating large grant-funded projects and working with limited supervision and on your own initiative.
