Project Officer/Social and Therapeutic Horticulture


Growing Support is an innovative social enterprise tackling loneliness, isolation and inactivity experienced by older people. We are looking for a talented social and therapeutic horticulture facilitator with community development skills to join our award winning and friendly team
The focus of the role is to:
• Support the delivery of the "Community Development for Older People – Care Homes" project by creating an older person led programme of nature based activities in 4 care homes in Bristol.
• Facilitate social and therapeutic horticulture activities for older people and people with dementia in care homes
• Contribute to Growing Support’s overall development and practice

Your work should mostly take place in care homes for older people in and around Bristol though you may be asked to work in other settings such as community gardens or day services for older people.

The successful applicant will be expected to have their own transport and be able to take tools and resources from the storage facility in Knowle to and from client locations. They must also have access to own computer and software compatible with Microsoft Office.
