We are seeking seasonal field workers who would like to learn more about organic growing principles.
To be considered for this role you’ll need to have had prior experience of working on a commercial farm or market garden, including harvesting vegetables.
You’ll be able to demonstrate a strong interest in organic horticulture and Community Supported Agriculture farming principles and a desire to develop those skills and experience in this area.
This is a fixed term contract for a full-time post, 30 weeks at 32 hours per week (4 days/week).

Pay rate: £8.90/hour

Main Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of this role is to work as part of the field team at The Community Farm on all general horticultural tasks including harvesting, packing, planting, weeding and tending of organic vegetable crops during the main months of the growing season. The business is an 8-acre commercial organic market garden supplying a range of vegetables for our home-delivery box scheme and to our wholesale customers. We are a Community Supported Agriculture project and our vision is “Local nature-friendly farming, welcoming people onto the land”. In support of this aim, the Seasonal Worker post offers an opportunity for work-based training and experience for those interested in agroecological farming and CSAs.
