Bristol Hub Social Impact Placements Manager
Location: University of Bristol. Salary: £20,000 pro rata (£12,000 actual). Hours: 22.5 per week. Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension. Start date: ASAP.
Bristol Hub supports students at University of Bristol to increase their impact on the world around them, both during their time at university and in their future careers. Our work focuses on providing high-quality social action opportunities for students, through bespoke programmes and projects which have been co-developed with students and community partners, whilst addressing community need and social inequalities. Bristol is a vibrant and dynamic city, with an energetic social impact sector, which we aim to support students to engage with and contribute to.
We are looking for a Social Impact Placements Manager to join the team. You will be launching a new project that Bristol Hub is delivering in partnership with the Medical School. You will be responsible for developing a social sector placement scheme for medical students, and ensuring the continued growth and sustainability of these activities. The aim for the placement scheme is to help students to develop into medical professionals who are well-equipped to address the needs of their diverse communities and patients.
This will be the first-year of a pilot, working with the Medical School to grow previous work in this area into a long-term project. We are looking for someone who can really take the lead on this piece of work and shape the future development of this innovative programme.
