Social Media Officer for Ecojam UK

Are you a social media fanatic? We’re looking for someone to take the reins of our Ecojam UK social media accounts to promote ethical news and events, connect with our Bristol and Bath hubs and get more people involved. 

Ecojam is an online hub for all things local, green and ethical. Ecojam Bristol has been running since 2009 and is now the largest and most active online sustainability network in the city. We are currently rolling out Ecojam nationally. 

With over 1500 Facebook page Likes and over 6600 Twitter followers our Bristol social networks are thriving. We are now looking to recreate this success with our Ecojam UK accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity to have an immediate, meaningful impact by growing our UK networks. It is also a great opportunity to build a track record in digital marketing.

Personal qualities (essential):

Skills and knowledge:

  • Excellent communicator and command of English
  • Social media savvy
  • Basic knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues

Time commitment:
We expect a minimum commitment of about 4 hours per week. The role can fit around your life as it will involve setting up Tweets and Facebook posts, and interacting with our followers.

Location: 
Home-based. Must have your own computer. 

We will consider applications from anywhere in the UK. If you live in Bristol you would be welcome at the monthly team meetings. If you are not near Bristol we can conduct an interview on Skype and keep in regular contact through phone and email.
