Our mission is to build a caring, healthy and cohesive community through the involvement of local people – especially those who are disadvantaged in the development and maintenance of a productive green space, where they are able to learn about sustainable farming and food growing, acquire new skills and develop new friendships.
What you can find at our farm
•Friendly farm animals – miniature Shetland ponies, dexter cattle, chickens, duck, sheep, goats, pigs, guinea fowl
•Wild nature – walk our nature trail and discover our beautiful 37 acre site filled with hedgerows, grassy fields, woodlands, ponds
•Family activities – including our Fort (play space for toddlers)
•Farm shop – produce from our farm made or grown by our volunteers
•Trough Café – perfect for tea/coffee, lunch or afternoon tea
•Events – we run a range of family friendly events, from ‘be a farmer for the day’ to bonfire night
•Venue hire - Our ‘crater’ performance space and community & training room are available for hire

Opening times & access
You can access the site on foot every day of the year by the numerous kissing gates and stiles around the site and do not need to have permission to visit the animals. The car park is open when farm staff are on site
Monday – Saturday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Sundays 12pm-4pm (9am-3.30pm Saturdays November-end of February).
Cafe is open Easter to end of October, Friday and Saturday 11am-4pm
There is NO CHARGE to visit the Farm, but we do expect A SMALL DONATION!
