EVERYBODY IN BRISTOL DESERVES TO BREATH CLEAN, SAFE AIR.
Our mission is to raise awareness of the illegal levels of NO2, along with other harmful substances, currently to be found in Bristol’s air.
Our main aim is to persuade Bristol Council to adopt the fairest, most ambitious, most sustainable option for tackling air pollution in the shortest possible time. Bristol City Council have been charged with bringing NO2 below legal limits, but taking note that the WHO states that no level is safe our aims go further than this. We also note that the 2008 EU directive states:
“. . . sets legally binding limits for concentrations in outdoor air of major air pollutants that impact public health such as particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).”
